Originally, Otay was meant to be a kobold fighter in a DnD campaign. I had a silly, fun, and maybe even a little bit compelling backstory for him, but the campaign came to an end before it could really get rolling. That's when I decided to put this idea into a comic, but I wanted to separate it from its DnD origins, and create something new. This here is literally the very first Otay I drew. Normally when I begin a design process, I go through several iterations, but when I first laid eyes on this little goober, I felt happy. He's changed very little from this original design since I started this project.
